SMART CYCLING PROGRAM
The Smart Cycling program has four curricula that I am certified to teach:
- Smart Cycling
- Group Riding
- Youth Riding
- Bicycle Friendly Driver
League Cycling Instructor (LCI)
League Cycling Instructors (LCIs) are ambassadors for better biking through education. After earning certification through a 3-day, League Coach-led seminar, LCIs teach Smart Cycling classes to children as well as adults. Their goal is to help people feel more secure about riding by educating cyclists and motorists and to ensure that people on bikes know how to ride safely and legally.
Background and History
I am a member of The League of American Bicyclist “BIke League” and officially a League Cycling Instructor and member of the organization. I have been a member for two years now. I obtain The League Cycling Instructor Certification in 2021. I began my first Smart Cycling Class in 2019. I am an independent contractor for the purposes of cycling education only. My goal is to become a League Cycling Coach.
I have a long history of training in the Hospitality Industry and Construction Industry. I have experience training from the kitchen to the cash register, in the water, snow, and on land. My primary activities involved restaurant Management. My secondary activities were in the construction industry where I worked outdoors to build and install public access roads and residential, commercial industrial electrical powerlines.
